Three Victorian pictorial menus for civic banquets held in Carlisle in the 1880s, largely sel-explanatory - but didn't they do well !  I don't remember the school dinners at Carlisle Grammar School including "Turbot, Lobster and Hollandaise Sauce", served with a glass of Hock, when I was there.

A fine trade card for the hire of pleasure barges on the Thames. On the reverse is a hand-written account dated 28 June, 1792, from Roberts to Lord Delaval, for the hire of pleasure shallops and men for sum of £6 . 9s . 6d.  Unfortunately it does not say how many or for how long.
